About Our District
The Second Judicial District Department of Correctional Services is a public agency, created and established under Chapter 905 of the Code of Iowa and governed by a Board of Directors. We provide community-based correctional services to 22 counties in north central Iowa ( Boone, Bremer, Butler, Calhoun, Carroll, Cerro Gordo, Floyd, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hancock, Hardin, Humboldt, Marshall, Mitchell, Pocahontas, Sac, Story, Webster, Winnebago, Worth, and Wright ).

Community Based Corrections Mission Statement
The Mission of Iowa Community-Based Corrections is to enhance community safety and facilitate positive change in adult offenders. We promote law-abiding behavior through supervision, accountability, treatment, education and community programming, in an innovative and cost-effective manner.
